With the Coronavirus outbreak, people were left looking out for themselves and their families with money and their health. Int his time of need, many forgot impoverished youth. Youth First is a project born out of a desire to respond to COVID-19 and help young people and their well-being in this time of need.

Statistics show that about 1 in 270 youth in Calgary are categorized as impoverished on any given night. This number is exponentially larger for other areas, such as Toronto, where thousands of youth face poverty. Unfortunately, no matter how large the number, apathy continues to increase.
